Tammy Oppel

Tammy comes to MSAC with a passion for the arts and over two decades of non-profit and arts administration experience. Most recently, she served as Deputy Director for the Howard County Arts Council, responsible for programming and management of the Howard County Center for the Arts.  Prior to HCAC,  she worked for over eight years as Schools Program Manager with Arts Every Day, a non-profit organization working in partnership with Baltimore City Public Schools on making arts education and cultural experiences an integral part of classroom instruction. During that time, Tammy established the organization’s Schools Program and grew its reach from three to 45 schools, impacting over 17,000 students and 1,200 educators, and promoting over 500 teaching artists, arts and cultural organizations, and programs each year.  Tammy has an M.A. in Arts Administration from Goucher College and a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Towson University.
