Artist-in-Residence Awards

The MSAC's Artist in Residence (AiR) program provides grants to Maryland non-profits and units of government that cover half the cost of a teaching artist residency. 

Creativity Grant

The purpose of the Creativity Grant Program is to strengthen the vitality and sustainability of artists and small organizations to maintain a strong and stable arts infrastructure in the State of Maryland.

Emergency Grant

Grants for Organizations + Community Arts Development

Grants for Organizations (GFO) provide unrestricted operating support to not-for-profit, tax-exempt organizations, as well as units of government. State dollars invested in these vetted organizations are in turn leveraged to attract private funding.

Independent Artist Awards

Individual Artist Awards

Individual Artist Awards (IAA), administered in partnerships with the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, provide grants to individual artists across 18 artistic disciplines that rotate on a three-year cycle.

Maryland Folklife

Maryland Folklife documents, promotes and sustains living traditions through Maryland Traditions, its statewide partnership initiative, as well as grants, an awards program, and the annual Maryland Traditions Folklife Festival.

Maryland Presenting and Touring

Maryland Presenting and Touring supports Maryland professional performing arts organizations, artists and agents through the Maryland Presenters Network, Maryland Touring Grants and the Maryland Touring Artist Roster.
