The Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District Board creates and implements arts and entertainment projects that contribute to the artistic, cultural, and economic growth of downtown Bethesda.

About this A&E District

Bethesda, MD is located just outside the nation’s capital and is renowned throughout the Greater Washington, D.C. area for its international dining, spectacular festivals, and distinctive boutiques. From award-winning theatre to independent films, the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District is filled with inspiring artists and art venues.

The Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District is the producer of The Trawick Prize: Bethesda Contemporary Art Awards, Bethesda Painting Awards, Bethesda Fine Arts Festival, "Paint the Town" public art project, and Bethesda Film Fest. The A&E District also manages the non-profit art spaces, Gallery B, Triangle Art Studios, and Studio B. 

Additionally, outreach efforts to local and regional artists and local developers, marketing of Bethesda’s arts and entertainment venues, artists, and arts events are managed by the Bethesda Urban Partnership for the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District.
