The 2021-2022 Maryland State Poetry Out Loud competition will be held virtually! We encourage students (who want to participate independently), educators, and community organizers to register indicating their intent to submit poetry recitation videos for competition consideration.

In the coming months, we have four different paid opportunities to evaluate and provide valuable feedback on applications and/or nominations.

Changes to be implemented in FY2024, aligning MSAC’s largest funding program with equitable practices.

Deadline extended! As MSAC staff begin revisions to the Folklife Apprenticeship and Heritage Award programs, we need editors from across the state! Editors review current policies and procedures and recommend changes that ensure equity, transparency, and access in MSAC programs.

Apply to be a panelist and serve a vital role in Maryland’s arts sector! MSAC relies on a diverse array of experts from across the state of Maryland to do the important work of evaluating applications. We invite participation through program-specific public calls for panelists, and we select panelists with a focus on diversity of experiences, diversity of location, and expertise in varying artistic disciplines.
