Singer songwriter Janice B. fronts this diverse group combining soulful lyrics, chants, and world percussion to create a unique musical experience. With an intriguing combination of musical styles and genres, Janice and core members Maurice Carroll and Mosno Al-Moseeki share a mission of using music to heal, educate, and inspire.
With over 15 years of experience performing in Maryland and on the Northeast Coast, Janice B. is known for delivering sultry vocals combining soulful popular songs with original material.
Janice B. has released 4 CDs and several singles. 2009’s EP “Watch Me Fly”, 2011’s “My Life” and 2015’s “Deeper” combined introspective lyrics with a unique musical style she calls “Eclectic Soul”. 2017’s CD “Mantra” was Janice’s first release combining healing chants and mantras with a world music feel. In 2014 Janice and co producers Maurice Carroll and Mosno Al-Moseeki combined forces to create the single “Freedom” to bring awareness to human trafficking. Net proceeds of the online sales of “Freedom” go to Baltimore’s Safe House of Hope, a non-profit organization providing help to local survivors of human trafficking. Janice has also had international success in the world of house music with 2013’s release “Feeling Fine”, a collaboration with DJ/Producer N’Dinga Gaba on the Quantize Recordings Label. A house music remix package of “Watch Me Fly” was released by N’Dinga’s label Global Diplomacy. These songs placed in the top ten on Traxsource’s Soulful House and Afro House charts.
On stage Janice B. has developed two performance styles:
The first performance style is an interactive experience for the audience incorporating music, mantras, and chants, as well as providing a guided meditation and healing energy. Janice B. is also a certified Reiki Master Teacher.
The second performance style is a traditional concert presentation in which Janice B. combines original material and well-known adult contemporary songs from other artists like Sade and The Isley Brothers. The group is flexible and able to perform in combinations from 3 members for smaller venues and events to a full band concert experience as required.
