The staff and council of MSAC have concluded seven Regional Arts Institutes and seven Listening Sessions, all with the commitment to hear suggestions about all things MSAC as well as share a vision for how we are responding to 21st Century needs. The generosity and goodwill with which arts constituents of all kinds gathered and shared was inspiring.

Overall, the goal is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of all internal procedures so that the MSAC staff can spend more time in the field hearing from constituents and creating initiatives shaped by what we hear. This approach of learning about the effect of the arts in communities and developing ways of initiating, supporting and/or enhancing those effects is built upon a network of evolving and trusted partnerships.

My hope is that you are already seeing how your contribution to these conversations is effecting change. If not, reach out and share any additional ideas. And, please, participate in the final leg of our statewide conversations by completing this brief survey.

Happy Fall! I'll look for you in creative spaces across the state.
