Artist Statement

Relationships are simultaneously unique and universal, and much of my art deals with the universal aspects of relationships; the bonds between parent and child or those in close relations. I want to imbue my sculptures with expression of the different aspects of relationships that are not merely personal but that are common to all humans. Part of my current work deals with the painful process of splintering a family unit. Children became pawns in game of chess played by parents. Other concurrent sculptures are expressing universal human conditions of anguish and suffering that are unfortunately still prevalent around the world.
