Artist Statement

I work in the styles I created which I call 'Abstract Drift' and'Driftwood Fusion'. Abstract Drift is the style I use for my abstract wall hangings and sculptures for garden and home accent pieces such as large and small garden planters, lamps, candle holders, wall hangings, wedding centerpieces, arbors and arches, picture and mirror frames, and anything else that comes to mind (mine or yours). All pieces are made from locally collected driftwood from places like Betterton Beach, Tolchester, Buttonwood Beach, and other secret Chesapeake Bay locations. Driftwood Fusion is the bold and dynamically different style of art I created for making 'Functional Art' pieces for the home such as tables, coffee tables, shelves, wine racks and other functional art furnishings. The basis is always a bold driftwood base fused together with other elements such as railroad spikes and copper accents. Fused together these different elements create a dynamic abstract presentation in a bold beautiful and fully functional one of a kind artwork. Be bold, be different, GET FUSED!I work in the styles I created which I call 'Abstract Drift' and'Driftwood Fusion'. Artist Bio

I am married with four great kids, two beautiful grand kids and, Snickers the Munchkin Mutt, my best buddy. I am a former US Navy CPO and currently work for the US Army as a Senior Technical Writer. I call myself the Accidental Artist because when we moved to Maryland my wife bought me a used book on making Driftwood furniture. We soon discovered that I had a unique talent for creating driftwood art both for the wall, the garden and, that could function as a piece of fine furniture. All of my art is totally unique, one of a kind and cannot be copied which is due to the nature of my medium, driftwood. I hope to retire soon and spend the rest of my time creating beautiful art for all to enjoy.
