Artist StatementThe more I work, the more I realize how attracted I feel to what one could name "sacred art". This denomination does not exclude any tradition, but as a Christian, I am deeply touched by the mystery of the senseless Presence of the Divine in the world and inside every human being. "Grace is everywhere" said a 19th century French mystic. I try to reach that point of presence where silence is inhabited by the Verb that expresses itself in its own mystery. In glass art, I consider architectural glass - as its name explains it clearly - as deeply connected to architecture, to a space already existing that light, through glass, will subtly modify. This is the most intriguing and magnificent experience one can live in a relationship to a man-made work. A French proverb says that "eyes are the mirror of the soul" and on the surface of a mirror lies the image of the Presence.
I started as a self-made man and studied the art of glass in France - the country where I was born and raised. A year spent in a traditional stained glass studio, plus eleven months around the world in 10 different countries to study traditional and modern glass creation. Several exhibitions in Paris from 2006 to 2014.
