Artist StatementMy intent is to embrace differences, to pose visual questions, to feed our senses. I seek to strike a balance with order and chaos, with the planned and accidental. Combining these differences keeps me absorbed in the conceptual nature of the quest, and rewards me in shaping a successful metaphor. I am fascinated by raw paint transformed into illusion or infused with energy. And by using transparent and opaque paint, combining two-dimensional shapes with three-dimensional forms, varying color and visual texture, and exploring matters of perception and the expressive nature of light and shadow, I try to maintain differences while making connections.
