When Rachel was sixteen years of age, she created her first three dimensional abstract painting in her high school art class. From that moment, she knew she had a passion for art. After graduating high school, Rachel attended Corcoran College of Art and Design located in Washington, DC. In the following years, she would continue her interest in the arts, collecting unique art works, visiting art galleries and museums, but life events occurred, and she was diverted from her desire but not her passion for art and to paint.
In 2013, she was encouraged by family and friends who sensed her repressed desire to create art. Finally in 2014, she regained her passion, purchased several canvas, supplies and acrylic paint and reconnected with her desire to paint, and hasn’t stop painting since.
Rachel has an eye for detail in creating geometric and abstract paintings using various techniques with vibrant colors to draw the eye of the viewer. Rachel enjoys exploring diverse designs for art, using unique materials to create textual effects on canvas.
I believe art is created from the canvas of one’s imagination….Rae
