Paula Bannerman was born and raised in the Washington DC metro Area. Inspired by her father’s work, she began drawing at the age of 5 and continues to this day. She works in the fields of iPad and dell tablet drawing. She also uses photography, painting, drawing, charcoal/pastel, computer generated 2d/3d, and silversmith/jewelry, to create her artwork.
Photography pieces are based on day to day life and the beauty that is within every moment.
When drawing on the iPad the materials like charcoal, acrylic paint, and graphite are warped into pixels that at her disposal at anytime and anywhere. Her variety of work varies on the mood, it can go from dark illustraions to pop, bold colors. Some of the artwork shown here is from “The Red Woman” series. The red woman signifies intensity and strength that is built up over time, but is not fully expressed with emotions through the face, but with movements, and poses.
