Artist StatementI see photographs as interactions between shapes, textures, and colors. I perform photography, mainly because I enjoy the challenge of finding these relationships. These relationships are more important than the subject matter of the photographs themselves. Recently, I have been focusing on interactions between images and, thus producing triptychs. The relationship between images in each piece may be thematic or structural. I believe, however, that each image should be able to stand alone. I try to arrange the images such that the eye moves from one to another. The original photographs have sometimes been adjusted only for contrast or color correction. In other cases, further modifications have been made, including passing sections of the original photo through digital filters of various photographic computer programs.
