Artist Bio

My name is Marcos da Rocha Carvalho and I'm a designer and illustrator from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil who lives and works in Chevy Chase, MD. I have a BFA in Photography from the University of the Arts, and a MA in Computer Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design. I love all things design and art related, I also enjoy traveling, cooking, bodyboarding, surfing, martial arts and just hanging out at the beach in general. Three of my art pieces were recently shown at the Arlington Arts Center's Dia de los Muertos exhibit.

As an author, I have been published in news outlets such as The Washington City Paper, Lusitânia, Passport Soccer, The Hill, and Medium ESPN FC. In Case I Die Before You're Born is my first book.
