Justin Sirois is a novelist and screenwriter living in Baltimore, Maryland. His books include MLKNG SCKLS (Publishing Genius, 2009), and Falcons on the Floor (Publishing Genius,2012) written with Iraqi refugee Haneen Alshujairy, The Heads (Newlights Press 2013), as well as So Say the Waiters books 1,2,and 3(2012,2013,2014) and the forthcoming novel The Last Book of Baghdad (Civil Coping Mechanisms 2016).
Revolving around historic sieges and bombing of cities and cultural centers,MLKNG SCKLS, Falcons on the Floor, and The Last Book of Baghdad are part of the Fallujah Burning series, a multi-part story about an Iraqi family that has been fractured by the Iraq War.
Justin also has television series in development based on his novels So Say the Waiters, with producers that worked on HBO's The Wire.
Justin founded Narrow House, an indie publishing company that ran for ten years. He has received several inividual Maryland State Art Council grants for poetry and fiction and a Baker "b"grant. One his novels is curently part of SUNY Buffalo's undergraduate curriculum and The Baltimore City Paper has said, "Justin Sirois is well on his way to becoming Baltimore's most important novelist."
