Jo Bayne believes that art is a method by which to externalize emotion and one's mind. It’s how she expresses her creativity and passion for the things we are able to see but take for granted every day, such as simple forms and colors that stand out and capture the eye. Beauty and thought are everywhere; it is an artist’s job to highlight them and communicate their importance.
Jo graduated from Mount St. Mary’s University with a BA in Fine Art, after studying fine art and film in high school at Carver Center for Arts & Technology in Towson, MD. Though her foundation lies mainly in fine art, she has developed new interest and skill in both traditional and digital illustration and design.
Jo's current position at Benefit Indemnity Corporation allows her to utilize her creativity to provide efforts ranging from logo design, to promotional mailings, to advertising for corporation and client events and classes. Jo also freelances via Jo Bayne Art & Design, helping small businesses and entrepreneurs form their corporate identities through logo, letterhead, business card, powerpoint template, and invoice design, as well as providing other corporate branding needs.
