Traditional Arts, Visual Arts
Artist StatementI am a passionate and charismatic female artist in the pursuit of educating, empowering and employing people through my love of art. My 30 years of life have humbly yet gracefully taught me how to be present and embrace myself, others and nature in totality and to seek out the lesson in each circumstance - favorable or not. My muses include but are not limited to my late soulmate, John " Gotti" Edward Price Jr., My loved ones, fashion, food, music, travel, culture and history, nature, & people of color (specifically women & children). I allow my heart and the connections I have with my muses to guide my pen to paper. I consider any and all sketch lines metaphors for the people, places and things in life that may scar us and I use my ink to purposefully define and emphasize the image in MY most purest of interpretations... Ultimately, I pray my artwork uplift and liberates all of the people it reaches.
Jessica C. Pittman is a charismatic, upbeat and whimsical artist & designer. She is a Maryland native and has always enjoyed the hidden gems her city has to offer. Jessica is currently stationed in Baltimore. Her skill set can be loosely credited to taking a few random courses at the local Community College (including Drawing I, Art Appreciation and Color Theory). But it is the recent loss of the love of her life that has reawakened her passion for art – it has become more like therapy! With the help of her very best friend, Jessica was dubbed J.desire – her sensual, artistic alter ego- also doubling as her pen name. J.desire is a traditional artist (her preferred medium being pencil and paper). Due to her deep fondness of people & nature, much of her current compositions illustrate just that! She pulls inspiration from her family, friends, and life, also adding her own dimensions.
