Artist StatementPaint is the perfect medium for me to express the vibrancy of life through its richness in color and texture. I find it exciting to unleash the power of the colors I choose and the forms I create with my brushstrokes. I want to notice the luminosity and richness of a moment and share it with my audience.
Jennifer is an award-winning artist with a focus on oil painting. She was born in Washington, DC and lives and works in Montgomery County. She exhibits her paintings locally and has received prizes for her work displayed at the Kensington Labor Day Show, Art at Penn Place Gallery, and Women’s Club of Chevy Chase. Jennifer is a current student at The Compass Atelier, where she is pushing herself to grow as a representational artist with an eye for color and mood and a style that incorporates loose and purposeful marks. She is a resident artist with Artists & Makers Studios and Gallery 209 and a member of the Montgomery Arts Association, Rockville Art League, Maryland Federation of Art, and Friends of the Yellow Barn.
