Artist Statement

I live in pursuit of intangible, human connections. By exploring our relationships with each other, our environment at large, and specifically how we interact with and utilize the technology we have created, I aim to identify new answers to the question "What does it mean to be human?" To this end there is no media that is invalid. I prefer to flatten the world ever so slightly through illustration, and to pull an idea from the mind and push it through a 3D printer; to give form to abstract. To push ideas and materials to their limits, and show the results. All in all, Making Better Art Through Science.

Artist Bio

BA in Studio Art, UMD

Currently Teaching Design and Digital Fabrication as CCBC Faculty, Fab Lab Baltimore.

I am a visual artist with a broad set of interests and skills. The love of my life is illustration, which has translated well to sculpture and digital design. I am driven by the desire to communicate in any medium. I build machines, I make art, sometimes both at once. My photography and digital art have been shown from New York to Osaka, and my most recent exhibition of works on paper took place in Los Angeles, 2015.
