I graduated from Hood College with departmental honors in art, followed by graduate work at The Maryland Institute College of Art, Goucher College, and The Johns Hopkins University (MLA). I am a member of the Working Artists Forum, Plein Air Painters of the Eastern Shore, and the Friday Morning Artists. I have won awards at the Chesapeake College Art Show at Wye Mills (2005), and the Local Color Show in Easton (2006). Currently I serve on the Talbot County Arts Council Board. I am fortunate to live in an area where I am surrounded by endless opportunites to paint, and many excellent artists who enjoy painting as much as I do. The rural landscapes, lovely creeks and coves, and pretty in-town gardens mean that I don't ever have to go far to find subject matter to my liking. I exhibit regularly in Easton, and also accept commissions.
