I’ve been artistically inclined since my early teens and was mentored by a renowned San Diego artist who discovered my talents early on. I have dabbled in many forms of art throughout the decades and have taken many art courses by professional artists over the years. Still, I would consider myself mostly self-taught .
My artwork and photography have been chosen for local exhibits including Waldorf East Library, Community Bank of Chesapeake and Charlotte Hall Veterans home. I have received numerous awards at local County Fairs and currently two of my pieces on exhibit have been selected by Charles County Art Alliance to use on the cover of their invitations and program for their annual membership meeting.
This form of art, called Fluid Acrylic Pouring, is comprised of chemistry, technique, composition and color values. With a little imagination the possibilities are endless. Adding resin to these pieces creates even more dimension and make the colors pop! I’ve been obsessed with this form of art for about a year now and plan to continue creating art using this technique. I currently have a solo exhibit titled “Fluid Point of View” running March-May 2018 at Quality Printers located at 10485 Theodore Green Blvd. White Plains, MD 20695. The opening reception will be held March 23, 2018 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. This reception is free of charge and open to the public.
