Artist Bio

Ollie L. Jefferson, Ph.D. is a Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award-winning theatrical actress and celebrated playwright that performed on over 60 stages, including the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Dr. Jefferson is a trailblazer who founded Timeless Visual Works to produce inspirational films, theatrical stage plays, and publications to educate, enlighten and entertain. She formed this collegiate communication, culture, and multimedia organization with extensive experience in the arts and education. She studied education at Norte Dame of Maryland Graduate School, graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Johnson C. Smith University, and earned her Master of Arts degree in Communication: Producing Films and Videos at the American University. She also holds graduate certifications in College and University Faculty Preparations and Women’s Studies as well as an earned doctorate in Communication, Culture, and Media Studies from Howard University. She is an academic scholar and frequent guest speaker and lecturer on advocating diversity and inclusion.
