Hello, my name is Dawn Farmer. I am a Mixed Media and Special Effects Artist. I have had the pleasure of attending Prince George's Community College with a Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education & Art and have attended Bowie State University majoring in Arts Education & Special Education. I have had the opportunity of attending the Hirshhorn Museum workshop class and to be a mentored student under Mrs. Suzanne Patterson, a well known Makeup and Special Effects Artist at the High Definition Makeup University in Chantilly, Virginia. Artistry has been a dream of mine for over 30 years since the age of ten. My drive has been to create images of different types of art expression from drawings, paintings, sculptures and special effects face & body makeup. I always enjoy seeing the reaction of peoples faces as they are being transformed into their desired character of their choice super heros, animals, "Anime" and different types of identities. I truely enjoy making people happy. My future goal is to continue to create traditional art including: Visual, Media and Special Effects Face & Body Makeup for Local and International Communities.
