Artist Statement

Artist statement My goal in painting is to get a response that connects internally with the viewer in that vast space between seeing what’s in front of you and being captivated by what you are viewing. Paintings are personal. They should convey an emotional impact on the viewer. ...thoughtful response… It isn’t just communicating what I have to say as an artist, the idea is for each person that sees it to make a connection with the painting itself, finding a piece of themselves there. Of course, the colors may just go with the couch. Darla Luke
