Artist StatementThe joy of photography lies in the challenge of capturing and sharing moments in my life when I have been inspired and awed by the beauty and mystery of the world. My goal is to convey these moments to the viewer as directly as possible in the hope that she or he will experience happiness and pleasure. I have been informed by the writings of Rachel Carson and Jane Goodall, and inspired by the paintings of Georgia O'Keefe and Henri Rousseau, as well as the photography of Ansel Adams, John Sexton, and contemporary artists such as Tui De Roy and Nancy Rotenberg.
A professional musician for more than 30 years, Chris has embraced photography as a precious source for renewing her artistic expression.
