Originally from California, Carolyn Case earned her MFA from MICA's Mount Royal School of Art in Baltimore, MD, and her BFA from California State University in Long Beach, CA. She has shown throughout the midatlantic area, with solo exhibitions at Loyola University, McLean Projects for the Arts, and the Art Registry in Washington D.C.
She had her first solo exhibtion in New York last year at Asya Geisberg Gallery where she is represented. The exhibition was featured in Art News 'Pictures in an Exhibition'. She has also participated in two-person and group exhibitions at Asya Geisberg Gallery, NY, NY, Joyce Goldstein Gallery, Chatham, NY, Reynolds Gallery, Richmond, VA, John Fonda Gallery, Baltimore, MD, and the Delaware Museum of Art, Wilmington, DE. Residencies include, the School 33 Art Center in Baltimore, the Kanoria Centre for the Arts in Ahmedabad, India, and most recently a full fellowship at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and a full merit fellowship at the Vermont Studio. Carolyn Case's works have been featured in the New American Paintings, and have been reviewed in the Baltimore Sun.
