Artist Statement

Carly Goss is a handweaver. Weaving in a traditional style, using primarily historic Appalachian coverlet patterns, she intends to maintain the integrity of these old patterns while finding their relevance in today's fashionable world. The act of weaving itself is a reminder to be slow, careful, and thoughtful. This intent should translate to the cloth and to the wearer.
