Artist Statement

I thoroughly enjoy bringing a visual arts component to a classroom lesson. Working with the classroom teacher to create a residency that meets his or her needs in exciting for both of us. The icing on the cake is that the students truly end up learning and retaining information by having a hands-on integrated learning experience.

Artist Bio

I am a National VSA Teaching Artist Fellow with the John F. Kennedy Center specializing in visual arts residencies: murals, clay, collage, integrating STEM and STEAM into lessons. All my residencies are inclusive and designed so students who are differently-abled can participate. Residencies can be designed for small groups up to whole school permanent installations (waterfalls and murals). Please see my website for details. I have been a Teaching Artist since 2008, a National VSA Fellow since 2010, and am listed in several rosters (listed on my website).
