Artist Statement

My work line embodies the use of shapes and forms in both 2D and 3D format. However, abstract painting is where my true passion lies. The freedom of creation, exploration and spontaneousness are key characteristics of my abstract work. I create paintings that reflect my view of the world. Always seeking colors, composition and atmospheric mood, in my work there is a constant interchange of forces between the quiet and the chaotic. In essence, I am interested in creating paintings that possess their own logic, with the intention of provoking strong and nonsensical feelings, always with an endeavor to translate what my eyes see about the magic things that life shows us all times.

Artist Bio

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Bianca Freitas is an artist who now lives in Annapolis, Maryland.
She is graduated from New York Institute of Art and Design.
