Cultural Diversity Arts Registry

The Cultural Diversity Arts Registry is a resource and networking tool that can assist in locating artists and arts organizations of color in Maryland. Eligible artists must be African American, Asian, East Indian, Hispanic or of Latino origin, American Indian, Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander. Eligible organizations must be able to check yes to one of the following:

  • The staff of your organization is at least 51% minority
  • The board of your organization is at least 51% minority
  • The audiences your organization serves are at least 51% minority
  • The artists your organization presents/serves are at least 51% minority

Search notes:

  • For "Organization Name" and "Artist Name" searches you may click on the down arrow to the right of the boxes to choose from a list, or type in a name to see the list.
  • You may use any or all of these criteria: City, County, Minority, Discipline and Keyword. "Select All" is highlighted as the default. For example, if you want to search for "Asian/East Indian" artists in "Anne Arundel" county, select only those two criteria and leave the others at "Select All."
  • "Keyword" searches only the words in the artists' "Description" section.
