Ahmad Borhani is a Persian Classical Musician who lives in the Rosedale section of Baltimore. He came to Baltimore from Iran in 1985 after the Ayatollah forced many Iranian musicians and intellectuals underground. Mr. Borhani is a master of the Persian santur (hammered dulcimer), a teacher of Persian Classical Music, and a performer. Aaron Henkin - host of "The Signal" - and Cliff Murphy, co-director of Maryland Traditions, collaborate on this one hour presentation of music, stories of redemption, and a celebration of Persian New Year.
