Artist Statement

Tracy Tousignaut Reed is a professional photographer based in Keedysville Maryland. She specializes in environmental portrait, nature and food related photography. She prefers to use natural light and use objects in their natural environment. Tracy has been addicted to taking pictures since she took her first photography class in high school using her favorite camera, the Pentex K1000. She spent most of her childhood exploring among the trees and little creeks of Maryland which may explain why she is drawn to photographing nature. She has traveled in Canada, Mexico, Ireland and all over the United States. She is in awe of this beautiful world God has entrusted to us and wants to share that beauty in her photographs. Tracy is a graduate of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia with a degree in Photography. After college she worked as a photographer's assistant and darkroom technician in Frederick, MD. She has freelanced for many years as she raised her boys who are now adults. She furthered her art education when she returned to school in 2000 to obtain a degree in Graphic Art. She exhibits her work at local art shows, restaurants and galleries. She is a member of The Artists Angle, The Frederick Camera Clique, The Frederick Art Association and The Delaplaine Art Education Center. She has enjoyed a long career in the visual arts which includes photographer, darkroom technician, art department lead, prepress artist and graphic artist. She has had her work published in various books and magazines.Tracy Tousignaut Reed is a professional photographer based in Keedysville Maryland.
