Artist Statement

I love nature and all its beauty. I love take photos and combine them graphically. I love to express what I see through painting. Art lets you do all of the above and show the world what you see. I believe you can take others on a voyage just by taking a photo and making it yours either by painting or graphically altering it. Art is a giving yourself; opening up to others, creating something beautiful that will last throughout the years, leaving a legacy. Not being afraid to let people see you, I mean really see you. My art is expression, an expression of how I feel, who I am, and who’s a part of me. My art work is my world and I invite everyone to step into it.

Artist Bio

Tracy Stevens has been an Illustrator, Fine Arts Painter and Graphic Designer for the past 10 years. Being trained at one of the country’s top art schools, Maryland Institute of Art, she has learned the importance of staying in budget, constantly keeping the client in mind and considering your audience. Tracy has the tendency of looking at things from all angles and reporting what’s best for you, your audience and your budget.
Since 2000 Tracy has had painting sold in Art Galleries, a Painting featured on slide cartons and featured in numerous Maryland Art Place events, in which she volunteers. In 2000, one of Tracy’s paintings was published by Salem and one of her photos was published in an amateur photographer’s magazine which was sold world-wide. Tracy also volunteers for Artscape and Junior Achievement teaching children art and finances.
Tracy is also a core member of Collective Minds. Collective Minds is an Ad Hoc group of House Music Lovers in any way shape or form. In order to spread our love and talent, Collective Minds started serving its community by giving a yearly picnic beginning in 2005. Since its inception, Collective Minds raised money and donated to autism, provided free health screenings to Baltimore’s Urban Communities and various other factors to improve people’s lives. In all aspects, the yearly festival is a party, but it has a purpose.

Tracy is the creative development artist for Reign Modeling and Management and is the marketing expert for Lifetime Fitness on Columbia, MD. She has designed cards for Sista Worth Greeting Cards and does layout for not for profit organizations. Tracy also does layout for local Baltimore magazines, DVDs, CDs and Self Help Books. In addition to her career with T Rowe Price, she has enjoyed many creative projects and collaborations.
