Artist StatementFound Object Assemblages for me are a celebration of the beauty that is abound in the natural and man made environments. For the viewer it is an invitation to take nothing for granted, to look for oneself. I have two ongoing bodies of work; the Primitive Post Modern Artifacts and the Eurillian Series. The Primitive Post Modern Artifacts are decorative and/or sacred tokens that might have been made by simple native inhabitants who have picked through the debris of the Western World after it had crumbled and fallen. The Eurillian Series are reconstructed artifacts of Eurilliah which is what I call a prior universe, prioir that is, to the Big Bang. Going on the theory that the Big Bang was actually a collision of several or many universes. Eurilliah has a nostalgic pull for me and so whenever I find some familiar bits and pieces I try to put them back together as best I can.
