Artist Statement

My work is an expressionistic meditation on the natural world, our watershed, and the priceless beauty and interconnections within our environment.

Artist Bio

Susan Campbell has shown her paintings in galleries in Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New Haven, CT. She has taught visual arts at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County for 16 years. She was the art director at American Film magazine as well as Américas magazine and has done graphic design work for the Smithsonian Institution. Her paintings and photo collages have appeared in The Washington Review, and on the covers of books published by Southern Illinois University Press, Story Line Press, and The Figures Press, and Green Linnet Music, among others. She graduated from Vassar College with honors and attended the Corcoran School of Art.
