Artist Bio

Sasha Blanton grew up in Texas, moved to the Eastern Shore to pursue his college career, and currently lives in the Baltimore area where he is emerging as a young painter and educator. Sasha is a professional artist who received his MFA from Towson University. He holds a Bachelor of Art from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a focus in art education. His work has been shown in many local Baltimore venues including Artscape, School 33, Maryland Art Place, Creative Alliance, Villa Julie College, Towson University, Sheppard Art Gallery, and Mill River Gallery. Sasha is represented by Chi: Contemporary Fine Art in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY and also shows his work with Gallery Imperato in Baltimore, MD. Sasha continues the long tradition of oil painting with a new approach to the medium. His work presents a contemporary framework for the human form.
