Artist Bio

Rodney Carroll is recognized nationally for his large scale sculptures awarded through public and private art commissions. His sculptures are included in national and international parks and gardens, universites and instituions, public, private and corporate collections. He has also been a grant recepient from the National Endowmwnt for the Arts. His most recent commissions include a 20 ft. sculpture for The Churchill on Second Avenue in Manhattan,NY, the tribute statue, William Donald Schaefer, Inner Harbor, Baltimore,Roanoke Civic Center, Roanoke, Virginia, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Janelia Farm Research Center, Leesburg, Virginia. Locally, his commissions are the Maryland Fallen Fighter Memorial in Annapolis, Firebird, at Symphony Center plaza, next to the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, Baltimore and the courtyards of The Madrigal Lofts and Yale Laundry in Washington DC.
