Artist Statement

As an artist, I believe the arts are vital to the survival of society, as it encourages independent thought, and to support the freedom to create art is to support humanity itself.

Artist Bio

Native American hoop dancer and photographer Pete FourWinds has been in the public eye for most of his life. As a dancer, he has performed since 1991 at such diverse worldwide locations as home plate at San Diego's Jack Murphy Stadium before a sold out San Diego Padres/Los Angeles Dodgers game, the Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, HI, the United States Embassy in Dubai, UAE, and countless schools, fairs, and other civic events and locations. As a photographer, he has been working since 2003 and has had his work exhibited in several galleries.
