Artist Statement

"Color Rythms", by artist Peggy Seeney Cooper Caranda, is a collection of mixed media glass paintings. The paintings incorporate a combination of traditional methods combined with ancient African art forms of applique, and glass painting, showing the dancers and musicians of Liberia, Senegal and the Gambia. It is the hope of the artist that the collection of paintings brings to the Baltimore community, especially children, her experiences in her travels to the continent of Africa.
