Artist Statement

I consider myself to be a contemporary realist,interested in the ways that color and attitude can transform a subject that may otherwise be taken for granted. I am happiest when a planned painting takes on a life of it's own, and magically goes it's own way.

Artist Bio

Born in New Jersey, I was an Art Major at NYC's Washington Irving High School in Manhattan.Otherwise I'm basically self taught. I resided for many years on eastern Long Island NY, and have recently relocated to the similar landscape of Marylands Eastern Shore.
I've been painting most of my life, have exhibited nationally,and was fomerly an Adjunct Assoc Professor of Art at Southampton College on Long Island.I am currently a painting instructor at The Academy Art Museum in nearby Easton, MD.Born in New Jersey, I was an Art Major at NYC's Washington Irving High School in Manhattan.Otherwise I'm basically self taught.
