Artist Statement

In this series I convey the intersection of where material reality meets the quantum, or nonmaterial world. With thin underpainting and glazes I suggest the common material forms we encounter in our everyday life, and immerse them in the quantum realm from which they spring – using translucent, iridescent, and transparent materials – to give us the inkling of where these two worlds meet.
