Artist Statement

I am a Baltimore-based Illustrator and Fine Artist. I attended the Maryland Institute College of Art, and graduated in December 2015. I create works for children and animals, but I also work in my sketchbooks. I sketch at concerts predominantly, and rework the observational drawings later. I also create healing paintings for individual clients, which I have been doing since 2014. The paintings are all done with watercolor, and they have Reiki and Eastern philosophies that go along with the artwork.

Artist Bio

Ever since I was a child, I knew I was going to create art; I knew that I was going to go to the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA); it was my only submitted college application.  I grew up in a lower-middle class household in Baltimore County, so it would be difficult to go to college out of state.  MICA has taught me the wonders of illustration; I love illustration, and I don’t think I would have learned and grew as much as I have in any other major.  I plan to create illustrations for children and animal activism, as well as exploring visual journalism and sketching at concerts.
