Janet Mathias earned a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and an MA in Art Therapy from George Washington University. She also attended Parson's School of Design in Paris, France. It was there that she discovered the truth about good bread. A D.C. native, Mathias has been living and working in Baltimore City on and off for the past 30 years. Her second home is New Mexico, where she travels regularly for spiritual and creative inspiration, and for Hatch green chile.
