Artist Statement

I am interested in the relationship between site as a physical space with an intended function and the physical or emotional evidence that contradicts defined functional reality. To find and reveal this gap I intervene, respond to, and occupy a site. 


Artist Bio

He is a korean artist. He intervenes in the condition of site and specific environments, finding narratives in the space. He was born in 1986 in Busan, Korea. He received his BFA from University of Seoul in 2011. He studied environmental sculpture for his BFA. He was awarded the artist-incubating program in 2012 at open space Bae for 1 year. Also he participated Project 837; home and homeless Part 1 in the PROJECT PLASE, Project 837 Part 2 in the Visarts in Rockville.  From 2014, he has studied at Maryland Institute College of Art's Mount Royal school of Art for his MFA Degree.
