Artist Statement

Photography gives me the means to share with others the sights that I encounter in my Daily life. This may include the odd, the beautiful, the interesting or just the commonplace sights that I may come upon. Unlike some other means of media my photography is a one shot type of thing. When I chance upon a scene it may only be there for a moment, and then never repeated. When I set out for the day I must keep my mind and eyes open to the world, as it is, not the way I might wish it to be. As with all still photographers my goal is to tell stories in a single frame. This is not a common experience, so when it does occur it gives me a great sense of accomplishment.

Artist Bio

I was born Sept.1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah, where I lived for 17 years. I then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. At the conclusion of my enlistment I worked for the U.S. Government for several years. I’ve taken a photography course at “Montgomery College”, and a few online courses related to digital photography. I am now a member of the “Takoma Artist Guild
