Apply to the Roster/sThe Arts in Education (AiE) Program provides opportunities for participation by Maryland artists and/or performing companies. The AiE Visiting Performers Program provides presentations of one or more performances, sometimes followed by brief workshop sessions for students in assembly programs or in classrooms. Names of artists and companies selected by an advisory panel to participate in the AiE Visiting Performers Program are listed on the Visiting Performers Roster of Artists. The AiE Artists-in-Residence Program provides hands-on intensive workshops involving core groups of students and teachers over a number of days or weeks. A larger group benefits from additional activities including artist lectures, performances, and demonstrations, and through projects developed by the classroom teachers with the artist’s assistance. Names of artists and companies selected by the advisory panel to participate in the AiE Artists-in-Residence Program are listed on the Artists-in-Residence Roster of Artists. Residencies are available in: Performing Arts: dance, multi-discipline, music, puppetry, and theater, Playwriting, Poetry, and Visual Arts: architecture, ceramics, dollmaking/puppetmaking, fiber arts, glass, handmade paper/books/artist books, media, mixed media, murals, photography, sculpture, site specific installation, and two dimensional.
